A training of trainers for Snehalaya, Maharashtra

Samvedana conducted a TOT for team Snehalaya in Ahmednagar on January 12 th 2022. Prajakta Avhad, Adv Pradnya Hendre-Joshi and Vitthal Bulbule jointly conducted session.

Around 60 Counsellors from various projects of Snehalaya like bal bhawans in slum areas, Sakhi one stop centre, Snehadhar a centre for helping the runaway girls-child brides-physically abused women etc participated in the training.

Prajakta conducted the session on Gender issues. She discussed various concepts like gender, stereotyping, institutionalisation of gender, power etc.

Pradnya guided the participants about influencing the thought process, how to initiate change through discussion, how to change the mindsets of people and make them aware about gender issues.

Vitthal discussed about initiating the process at home through his personal experiences and how to change the mindsets of people through various experiments.

The session was well received and refresher trainings will be held in future.
