Sandipta Sahoo is a 2nd year B Tech studenr E&TC department of MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering Women.She is a part of TED-CCEW & start up & innovation cell in her college.She is a trained classical dancer, a poet, a singer, a speaker and an avid reader .

She wrote this poem when she heard the verdict of heart wrenching Nirbhaya case.

बैठे क्यों यूं, तू क्यों हताश है ?

तेरे अस्तित्व की कैसी यह तलाश है ?

हो जहां अपमान तेरा ,वही लिखा धरती का नाश है ।

शक्ति का रूप तुझे सब है मानते,

तेरे क्रोध को कई घमंडी नहीं पहचानते,

उन घमंडियों का अंत है तू ,उनकी सीमाएं क्यों नहीं वह जानते ?

पुरुष प्रधान समाज की यही है रीत,

स्त्री के अपमान का गाते हैं गीत,

अंधियारे और घुंघट को ना समझ तू अपना मीत ।

क्यों खड़ी है तू अचल ?

ढूंढना है तुझे तेरा स्वाभिमान ,तू बढ़े चल ।

अधिकारों के इस युद्ध में तू अवश्य होगी सफल ।
